About nutriogenomics

nutriogenomics is a German company based in Heidelberg, led by Dr. Axel Alber, a veterinarian and scientist in the field of nutrigenomics.

For more than 12 years, our team has been developing formulations in the area of functional dietary supplements. Our goal is to translate insights from nutritional science and molecular biology into understandable, practical products for active individuals and athletes.

 

Our main product lines

Our formulations are organized into two main series:

smartzell® – for joints, bones, and connective tissue in everyday life

smartzell® is designed for people who want to support their long-term structural resilience and musculoskeletal system. The products are intended for daily use and are based on concepts that nutritionally support selected tissues and their metabolism.

smartBOOOST® – performance and optimal recovery

smartBOOOST® is developed for active individuals and athletes who want to consciously structure their nutrition around training, exertion, and recovery. The line includes products for the phases before, during, and after exercise and combines cellular support with performance-oriented nutrition concepts.

 

The team behind nutriogenomics

Behind nutriogenomics is an interdisciplinary team of scientists, medical doctors, and experts in molecular biology, nutrition, and sports science.

Together, we combine research, medical knowledge, and practical experience from active everyday life and sport. This results in products that are scientifically grounded and designed for a wide range of practical applications.

    Development takes place in Heidelberg, while manufacturing is carried out in Germany according to defined quality standards, aligned with IFS and GMP guidelines.

  • Selected raw materials & purity

    We use carefully selected ingredients and place great emphasis on high purity. Depending on the product, our formulations are GMO-free and free from sweeteners, artificial flavors, and added lactose.

  • Tested for sports use

    Relevant sports products have been tested in independent laboratories, including in Cologne and at LGC in London (Informed Sport), to support safe use in athletic environments.

  • Patent-supported concepts

    The uniqueness of key formulations is protected by multiple patents, documenting essential aspects of our development work.
